Please!

I've been really wishy-washy with teaching Ethan sign language. Every time I see one of my friends and see her son sign, I get inspired and try again for a week or so and then drop it altogether. Now I'm really motivated because he's picking up the signs so fast! In just a few tries, he now signs "please"...but only for food.

He also signs "milk", "ball", and "all done" when the mood strikes him.

Hot Off the Flash Card

Here are the latest and greatest of Mr. Destroyer. He is 39,446,157.5 seconds old tomorrow.

Da Plane, Da Plane!

Gigantor loved pointing out all the helicopters that flew along the coast. Pointing has become his new passion. He started pointing out all the cats in Good Night Moon, and now points to the dog, birds, and other random things he sees.

Back to the Beach

We went to the beach again today and Gigantor had a great time! The water was quite warm, but he preferred eating sand and sitting in his sand fortress...until it washed away.

The Belly Button

This video is from about a month ago.

Tracks, trains, and bridges, oh my!

We found a box of trains and decided to put together a little track for him. Well actually I unpacked the box and Dave designed the route and test drove the trains. We have decided we need more tracks and Dave needs to build a train table. I'm sure tomorrow morning sweet little Gigantor will destroy all our efforts in about 2.2 seconds.

Gigantor Meets the Ocean

It's about time we took him to the beach! He loved the sand, but wasn't so sure about the water. He definitely prefers wet sand because he doesn't really play with the sand at playgrounds. Perhaps he will be a professional sand castle architect. Though at this point I would say demolition is his natural talent.

He Speaks!

Officially his first word is "da-da", but I have my doubts he fully understands what it means. We were in a waiting room last week and he went up to each person and said "da-da". One man was so surprised by his comment he tried to explain that he wasn't his "da-da".

Ba-ba (which is ball of course!) was the new word last weekend. Dave took him out to a park to kick around a giant ball in preparation for his days as a pee wee soccer star.
